Privacy Policy

ArthIQ Labs LLC ("ArthIQ", "we", "us"), a limited liability company organized in the State of Illinois, United States, operates kundali.live (the "Service"). This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. Our guiding principle is to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Who can use kundali.live

kundali.live is intended only for adults. The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email support@kundali.live and we will promptly remove it.

Using kundali.live without an account

You can chat and view the panchang anonymously. Anonymous chats — and any birth details you enter — are not stored on our servers. They are sent to our KundaliMCP engine to produce an answer and then discarded. We keep only coarse, best-effort signals (such as a hashed IP / device fingerprint and a small counter cookie) to enforce free usage limits and deter abuse; these are not used to identify you.

When you sign in

We offer Google sign-in only — there are no passwords. From Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo. We do not store Google access or refresh tokens.

For signed-in users, your readings, the messages within them, and any birth details you provide are stored so you can return to them — encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using a key derived per user. You can delete any reading, or your entire account, at any time. Deleting your account removes your readings, the messages within them, your birth details, your feedback, your wallet ledger and your sign-in records. One thing is deliberately kept: a one-way hashed form of your email address, together with your original sign-up date and free-question count. It cannot be turned back into your email address, and it exists only so that deleting and re-creating an account does not reset the free allowance and trial period. Everything else is gone.

Birth details

Your birth date, time and place are used to compute your chart and panchang via the KundaliMCP engine, which is stateless and stores no personal data. For anonymous users we never persist them. For signed-in users they are kept only on your saved readings, encrypted as described above.

Payments

Wallet top-ups are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store your wallet balance and a ledger of top-ups and usage so we can show your activity.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the Service, each operating under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data each needs, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:

• Google — sign-in (we receive your name, email and profile photo; no passwords).
• Stripe — payment processing for wallet top-ups (they handle your card details; we do not see them).
• Cloudflare — hosting, storage and network security for the Service.
• Resend — transactional and account email delivery.
• KundaliMCP — our own stateless computation engine that turns coordinates and a timestamp into a chart; it retains no personal data.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal data.
• We don't show third-party ads or run cross-site tracking.
• We don't store your payment card details.

Cookies

We use a sign-in session cookie and, for anonymous visitors, a small signed counter cookie used only for usage limits. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep data

Anonymous usage signals are coarse, hashed, and kept only as long as needed to enforce free limits and deter abuse — they are deleted automatically 90 days after they were last seen. If you later create an account, we record two numbers on it: how many questions you had asked before signing up, and how many days earlier you first visited. We do not store any link between your anonymous activity and your account, and the anonymous records stay unconnected to you. For signed-in users, your readings and birth details are kept — encrypted — for as long as your account is open, and are removed when you delete a reading or your account. We may retain a minimal billing ledger for as long as required for tax, accounting and legal-compliance purposes even after account deletion.

Security

We protect your data in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256-GCM field encryption using a key derived per user, and we restrict access to production systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep the data we hold safe and to collect as little of it as possible.

Your rights and choices

You can delete individual readings in the app, or delete your entire account from Your account → Delete account, which removes the associated data apart from the hashed-email record described above. Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, and India's DPDP Act), you may also have rights to access, correct, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@kundali.live and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International data transfers

ArthIQ Labs LLC is based in the United States, and the Service and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; we will revise the date above when we do. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
